6 Sun 54 Move Kisaya Puzzle Box - Mr. Okiyama
This is a very rare version of the very special boxes Mr. Okiyama made in the 6 sun 54 move size. Only 12 of these very rare boxes were made. A couple of the boxes I was able to obtain had minor problems with the Yosegi (in one or 2 of these boxes the Yosegi didn't line up on one end of the boxes near the Kannuki) I am not going to sell the box with this very minor problem. They all open like Mr. Okiyama's boxes and make the great "Pop" after each series of moves allows the various pieces to mov...

Unique 2 puzzle eggs-Stephen Chin
These puzzle box was made by occasional craftsman Stephen Chin (entered australian IPP). This puzzle box is well made with very nice woods. These are two puzzle eggs. One opens with an unscrewing motion (wooden groves!) The other opens similarly to the Kamei egg, but with Stephen's own twist... There are VERY FEW pieces of his work, probably less than 10 in total.

5 sun 27 move Kisaya Okiyama secret box
This box is from a group of 36 boxes that were made by the late Mr. Okiyama. The group of boxes I received from Japan were the finest boxes in the 5 sun 27 move size that I have ever seen from this great master. They are all very smooth in operation make the "pop" that a quality box will make as it is opened and is finished in a matt finish unlike many of Mr. Okiyama's boxes which have a more glossy appearance to their finish. These boxes are very rare, very beautful, operate perfectly and will ...

Mame 18 Move - Okiyama
This box is from a group of made by the late Mr Okiyama. It has his honko as verification he made this box and is one of the smallest boxes made by this Master Craftsman. Mame means Bean like a coffee bean and refers to the size of the box. It is approximately 1.75" X 1.25" X 1.2" These boxes were made in such a way as to allow them to be taken apart more than the usual 18 move box will allow, it will allow you to take both ends of the box as well as the top and bottom pieces (the longest wide...

43 step japanese-american puzzle box Painted signed-makishi
This Makishi is signed and dated. He also painted the top. It is made from nicer wood than many of the boxes I have seen that he made. It is also not as loose as many of his puzzle boxes. It works well. I had instructions, but I will have to look for them. This is a very difficult puzzle box.

RARE MAME 4 step drawer-Okiyama (deceased)
This Japanese puzzle box was made by the deceased master Okiyama. This is the rarest of the Okiyama mame boxes, and I have never seen one available for sale ANYWHERE in the 7 or so years I have been collecting (although the nested set is another matter). It is in excellent condition.

Stickman No. 3 Puzzlebox - Robert Yarger
_____Everyone has a postal nightmare story, and mine involves this Stickman No 3 Puzzlebox. It was originally sent to a collector in England, but never arrived. Eleven months after refunding his money, it finally found its way back to me. From the postmarks, it apparently had been rerouted to Australia by mistake.
_____Although the box was not damaged by its trip around the world, all boxes from this line were actually a bit awkward. This was my first attempt at making wooden gears (I am ...

Remake of Ninomiya Pushup by Karakuri maker
This Japanese puzzle box was made by someone from the karakuri club. I have a Ninomiya pushup and this uses the same mechanism (but is not of the same quality). Still, a nice puzzle. Made for the IPP in japan about 3 years ago.

Stickman Autumn (No. 10) puzzlebox - Robert Yarger
This Autumn Puzzle Box (Stickman No 10), derives its name from collage of attractive fall colors, and is handcrafted from quality wenge, padauk, and leopardwood pieces. This is a moderately difficult puzzle to solve and requires a minimum of 15 moves in order to get into both of its hidden compartments. Getting into one compartment is relatively easy, but there is an unexpected and elusive trick required to access the other.

Stickman No 8 Puzzlebox - Robert Yarger
Designed by artist Robert Yarger, this Stickman No. 8 puzzle box internally makes use of a specialized "three-position mechanical toggle" system. Such toggles were first used to mechanically tally information in ancient (B.C.) calculating machines, but when incorporated into a puzzle box it produces a very unique result.
.
In this box, the same move does not always produce an identical result. Panels that were once freed by performing a particular step will not always become free when the sam...

Stickman No 1 - Robert Yarger
Yes, this is one of those very rare Stickman No. 1 Puzzleboxes that started it all. But before you get all excited, I must tell you that, as my very first puzzlebox, this line really does not depict the quality that you have come to expect from Stickman boxes over the years.
.
While the mechanism in this box works exceptionally well, it is constructed of old scrap oak wood (not much to look at) and the finish is terrible. It is not a bad box, but is probably best suited for a collector who ...
