This is a 12-Piece checkerboard puzzle from England, likely from the 1030's-1940's, produced by Frederick Warne & Co. in London.  The pieces are made from sturdy wood covered in paper, and each square is 1 x 1 inches.  The pieces are in excellent condition, and are slightly miscut.  The box is in nice condition other than minor adhesion marks from where a previous owner used tape.  The puzzle has only ONE solution.  I will send a sealed copy of the solution to the winning bidder.
