Cluster Buster (truncated)
This puzzle was made by Lee Krasnow. It is called the Cluster Buster but it is made in a truncated version and uses three different woods to make this puzzle which is an easier puzzle according to Lee because of the truncated end pieces of the puzzle. They make it easier to grab in order to take it apart as well as put back together. I find them both difficult but understand what Lee means when he says the flattened tips make it so that it does not require 6 fingers to take apart the non truncat...

7-Woods Puzzle
This puzzle is made by Lee
Krasnow, Lee considers this puzzle a relatively easy puzzle as well as a very
beautiful puzzle. The design is made using 6 woods for each face of the cubic
design and one more wood for the interior or center of the puzzle pieces. It’s
complexity lies in the ability of the puzzle solver to match up each of the six
sides of the puzzle with the same woods so when the two halves of the puzzle
are joined the matching woods compliment each other. This puzzle ...

Diagonal Cube
This puzzle is a variation of
the Diagonal Burr, however you wouldn't think so from looking at it. Like many of Coffin's
designs, the six pieces of this puzzle represent a complete set of
non-symmetrical permutations, and will assemble in only one way. Disassembly is
possible on only one of the four-fold axes. This design is isomorphically the
same as many of Coffin's other puzzles such as Augmented
Four Corners and Triangular Prism, however the average
person will probably have ...

Second Stellation
The six pieces of this puzzle
all have the same shape, but different arrangements of the four colors of wood.
The pieces will assemble in many different ways to form the third stellation of
the rhombic dodecahedron. It is essentially a third stellation version of Stewart Coffin's Nova -- the obvious goal with
this puzzle is to get the same colored sticks to line up. There are other ways
to put the pieces together with color symmetry as well. Disassembly is possible
along any of the...

Fixed Sticks
By lengthening the triangular
stick segments of the Permuted
Third Stellation, a puzzle that resembles a nest of triangular sticks
results. At first glance one might expect to be able to simply pull one of them
out thus collapsing the whole thing... not so easy!
Comparing this puzzle to the Permuted Third Stellation, the
additional length of the triangular stick segments eliminates one of the two
solutions, and makes it so that the remaining unique solution is only able to

Diagonal Star
The Diagonal Star is a
variation of the Diagonal Burr.
All six pieces are identical. They are like the pieces in the Diagonal Burr, but with
the ends beveled to an edge. The resulting shape is the first Stellation of a
rhombic dodecahedron. It is assembled by making two subassemblies of three
pieces each, and sliding them together. This design is very old -- nobody
really knows who invented it. In Stewart Coffin's book Puzzling World of Polyhedral
Dissections, he writes:

Hiroyuki Oka - Chip by Hiroyuki Oka
This puzzle box was created by Hiroyuki Oka as a Xmas present for the Karakuri Club members in 2007. It is now sold
out and no longer made. The mechanism is similar to that of a traditional japanese puzzle box, but with a twist. This box is in excellent (as new) cosmetic condition and opens smoothly. Comes with the original box.

Mark McCallum - The Trouble With U by Mark McCallum
This was my IPP design competition entry in 2006. It was my tribute to Nob Yoshigahara. I so love his Unhappy Adolescence puzzle based on the P pentomino+ 2x1x1 block, that I thought I would try a U pentomino +2x1x1 block and see what I could come up with. What I found was that 9 pieces plus a single cube would make a nice 4x4x4 puzzle. The puzzle consists of 4 pieces plus their mirror images and a self reflective piece plus the lone cube. Several problems can be dreamed up and attempted. T...

This is a Stickman No. 5 "prototype" being sold by the artist Robert Yarger. (Non-prototype versions of this box must be obtained by contacting the artist directly.) As a prototype, this box does not possess a limited edition number, logo stamp or instruction booklet. Unlike other boxes from this line, it also has not been lacquered and is somewhat looser in the movement of its pieces.
Other than the above mentions, this is a high quality box that still works perfectly. The box has b...
