Bilz Obstacle, plastic maze-puzzle
This puzzle is still in the box, though the box is a little rough around the edges. The plastic maze-puzzle is perfect. This is one of those puzzles where you put a $20 bill inside, give it to a friend as a gift, and let them try to open it, rolling a marble around so that it finally hits the trip-release. Interesting opening mechanism.

Unknown - old wood dexterity marble puzzle - made in Japan
Four marbles that you have to roll into little indents in the wood, though other grooves in the base interfere with this effort (took me about 2 minutes); nothing too unique here, except that it's old. No name on it, just says "Made in Japan" on the back of the box. Estimate maybe around 1950 for the age. Top cover is plastic, not glass. Overall condition of the puzzle is very good.

Link Puzzle - plastic
"Link Puzzle" Picked this up in England about 10 years ago; consists of a bunch of double-balls hinged together with little plastic frames. The cube (4x4x4) flops out into a big loop which you have to fold back together into a cube. Not super difficult. It also doubles as a toy, since you can obviously fold it into other shapes and snap the pieces apart. Includes the original instruction sheet for returning it to a cube shape. Made in China, and I don't know who the manufacturer was, except th...

The Suitcase Puzzle
Suitcase puzzle, complete. This is a little plastic suitcase with a bunch of plastic clothes you pack into a plastic suitcase. The box in comes in is in fair condition, with a few creases. The plastic suitcase and "clothing" pieces are in excellent condition, but there's nothing else in the cardboard box (no instructions or other packing).

Dice Puzzle
Wooden "Dice Puzzle". Consists of 9 straight sticks with dots on the sides. In original plastic wrap, object is to put the 9 sticks together so that the dice-pips add up to seven on opposite sides, as it is with a normal die. There's a little paper insert that says, "The Wood Shop" Rock-A-Nore Road, Hastings. Plastic wrap is brittle; puzzle is, I estimate, 20-30 years old.

Four Dexterity Puzzles, Mfg. by Pussy, Germany
These three plastic puzzles (two are duplicates with different coloring) were from a series of 12 dexterity puzzles made by Pussy in Germany. One of the three has a picture of all 12 puzzles on the back of the puzzle, numbers 2501-2506 and 2224,26,27,29,30 and 2232. Judging by the gaps in the numbering, there may have been more. Anyway, this is only 2 of them (with 1 duplicate), numbers 2227 (2) "Point" and 2505 "Corner". Clear plastic on top is a bit scratched up, hard to see in the photo. The...

Two Piece Oddity (aka Cross Cage)
Only 2 pieces, or 1 piece in a cage. Two-Piece Oddity was the original name, renamed by Philos as the Cross Cage. This is the Philos version in the original package with instructions. Not a terribly difficult puzzle, satisfying to solve, interesting to see, and one that can be handed to beginners without fear that they will take vengeance on you at a later date. Takes 12 or 13 moves to get the center piece out. During design, I was trying to maximize the number of moves for a 2-piece puzzle of ...

Labyrinth (or Labilinth) maze-dexterity cylinder puzzle
Labyrinth, or as it says on the box, Labilinth. This is a cylindrical wooden maze; you put a ball on it (it comes with 4 balls; 2 plastic, 2 steel) and try to maneuver the ball around the outside of the cylinder while rotating the cylinder. It's quite difficult. Basically just a dexterity puzzle, though. Made by Schaaf Spielzeug in Germany, in original box (which is torn on one side).

DoubleSix puzzle - Journet
This dexterity puzzle consists of two dice that you have to get into two square slots in the right orientation. Not too bad; took about 5 minutes to solve. Glass covered, generally good condition but the box has tears on two sides, presumably from the removal of tape. See pix. Made by R. Journet, London, England. Don't know what year, maybe 1950's?

3D Maze with Nintendo pix -octohedron
This is a 3D maze with a different Nintendo picture on each side - Mario and such. The apex of each side is connected to all 4 sides, so the mazes aren't very difficult, presumably made for, say, a 5-year old. On the plastic is imbedded the letters: TM,copyright 1997 Nintendo, Applause/China. No other labels I can see. Pretty good condition; a couple of tiny marks on two of the sides.

Computer Puzzler 2, 4 (disentanglement)
These two puzzles were part of a series of four disentanglements. One is a variation of the Chinese Patience puzzle, and the other doesn't look much like the instructions show; it is very poorly made. I've never been able to put it in a "hard to take apart" mode. Strictly for someone who wants to complete a collection. Anyway, both have the original instructions and boxes, although the plastic covers for the boxes are yellowed and cracked.

Folding Frenzy and "10 Power Puzzles"
Folding Frenzy is a soft-cover 12x12" book with 6 inner pages. The object is to fold the panels inside to create 9 different image-patterns shown inside. This has been well-used, and one of the pages is separating from the spine staples, and two of the panels inside are creased (beyond the normal folds you need to do to solve it). The outer cover is decent condition with a couple of light creases. Copyright 1981 by Jeremy Cox. Published by Harmony Books.
"10 Power Puzzles" is about the same...

Gilbert Puzzle Set No. 1032
This is an old Gilbert puzzle set No. 1032, dated copyright 1953. The celophane sheet for the top of the box has disintegrated, but the plastic puzzle-cover on the inside is in good condition. All the puzzles except for one look like the originals in the set; one of the lot appears to be made out of some other type of metal, so I'm guessing it was added after one other was lost; not certain about that. There is a badly worn and torn puzzle solution booklet included with the set, with some scribb...

Gradual Despair, Crazy Mind Game, and IQ Test puzzles
Four cardboard puzzles. "The Crazy Mind Game" asks you to make a cotinuous red chain of the 17 inclosed tiles. Apparently the black paths are only relevant if you go buy the related "Mind Game" game. Complete. Very good condition but for a price tag on the back.
IQ Test numbers 5 and 7; two of the many, many puzzles asking you to put 9 tiles together so that the edges match. No. 7 is very good, but on number 5 the box is slightly crushed on one side.

Strange Pyramid
Strange Pyramid, from Los Angeles IPP 2000. "Build a pyramid from these pieces - each edge consists of 4 spheres." What he doesn't tell you is that the pyramid is a little skewed - this is pretty difficult to put together, but interesting nontheless. Designed by W. Schneider, made by Kubi-Games in Germany. On Feb. 08, 2009 17:21:25, the following description has been added:I found a solution sheet for this puzzle, which will be included with the puzzle.

Bild-A-Bike
This is an old puzzle from Chad Valley in England. The object is to "build a bike" out of the little wire pieces enclosed. The fit isn't that great. I'm guessing this was made around 1950 or earlier. Instructions and box included, as shown. The puzzle is nickel-plated, which is why it still looks so shiny.
The box isn't great looking; some ink-scribbles on front and back, and one of the internal flaps is torn off (but included).

Assorted sliding puzzles
Four sliders; one with zebras, one with a lion, one with playing cards, and one with an optical illusion.

The optical illusion one is the only one that shows a manufacturer; Dodo Designs in England.

The other 3 just say, "Made In Germany" on the back, and Art No. xxxxxx. Don't know who made them.
