Description
Only 2 pieces, or 1 piece in a cage. Two-Piece Oddity was the original name, renamed by Philos as the Cross Cage. This is the Philos version in the original package with instructions. Not a terribly difficult puzzle, satisfying to solve, interesting to see, and one that can be handed to beginners without fear that they will take vengeance on you at a later date. Takes 12 or 13 moves to get the center piece out. During design, I was trying to maximize the number of moves for a 2-piece puzzle of size 5x5x5. Don't know if I got the maximum or not, but it's close.
