Believe it or not, this is the simpler iteration of the Quads and Rings series. Four wooden burr pieces interlock with two acrylic pieces with a level 13.5 solution. Doable despite the high level because a lot of the moves just follow. When I saw this design on Ishino's site, I couldn't resist asking Alfons's permission to make it. A neat little puzzle, with a tricky level 24 solution. The contrast between the solid exotic wood and shiny acrylic makes this display like a little gem once solved. As soon as I saw the Gaia design I knew I wanted to make it. The structure is very unique, incorporating stick pieces and board pieces with a constraining cage. The Carbo Cube is a very interesting miniature...four stick and two board pieces form a cube with a translucent center. Moderate in difficulty, this puzzle has a unique level 6.2 solution.
