Small button box
Description from cubicdissection :"This design was inspired by the interior of the previous box I made, the
Reactor Box. The final interior box was held in place by a couple
strong magnets, and felt like a button when pushed. It made me think
about the things I could do with an apparently simple box that just had a
button to push. I like to take advantage of people's assumptions, and
everyone has them when it comes to a button! So I set about thinking up
designs...
I came up with ...

Each puzzle is supplied with one pound - the other 50 you must provide yourself!Painstakingly handcrafted from the finest materials, the box features some very nice inlay and intersting stepped miter joinery on the edges of the shell box. Custom internal mechanisms were hand milled from soli...

Pieces of Eight
Featured in a December 1991 article in Fine Woodworking Magazine. Described in Stewart Coffin's book The Puzzling World of Polyhedral Dissections; here is some of what he says in the directions that came with the puzzle:"Special version - only one made. No half-pieces, so ignore puzzle problems that require half-pieces. The cube has only one solution in which all sides have matched wood and grain symmetry."
