Believe it or not, this is the simpler iteration of the Quads and Rings series. Four wooden burr pieces interlock with two acrylic pieces with a level 13.5 solution. Doable despite the high level because a lot of the moves just follow. When I saw this design on Ishino's site, I couldn't resist asking Alfons's permission to make it. A neat little puzzle, with a tricky level 24 solution. The Carbo Cube is a very interesting miniature...four stick and two board pieces form a cube with a translucent center. Moderate in difficulty, this puzzle has a unique level 6.2 solution. Ok, this is the wicked difficult contender in this month's update. It has a unique level 14 solution with a TON of false moves and dead ends. Secret Burr is a re-release of a puzzle I made very limited copies of in 2002. Unique in that it's difficult in both assembly and disassembly, there are two locks inside the burr that interact much like Cutler's Ball Bearing Burr. Another of Guy Brette's devious designs, this twelve piece burr has two different stick lengths and an interesting "cross" finished shape. It's also quite difficult with a whopping level 9.9.9 solution. I'd call it the crown jewel of this update in terms of difficulty and appearance.
