Ages ago I made a small batch of RD puzzles using octahedral clusters (truncated rhombic dodecahedra or chamfered cubes). I never did make the best of Coffin's design though, the Five Piece version, so I thought I'd whip up a batch after having so much fun with the Pyracubes. Five Piece Cluster has four dissimilar non-symmetrical pieces and a fifth key piece that is a single block. The serially interlocking solution is very tricky!
The construction of this puzzle was done with edge beveled cubes which were glued and individually clamped at each joint, and is quite strong. Due to the nature of interlock and base cubes, this puzzle may be tight in high humidity situations.
Note: This copy is made from Sapele, which is different from the production versions. Five Piece Cluster ships in the solved configuration.

These puzzles are extras and oddballs that have accumulated in the shop. Sometimes when we make a run of puzzles we will have a few with different woods, etc. which are too much trouble to list individually on the website. These puzzles are all in new condition and fully functional.
