Description
crafted by Pelikan
their description -
analogous to the Garnet (#60) here is assembled a shape of a triacontrahedron, made from two sets of 5 different pieces; the most elegant version was found by Josef Pelikan ( + 6.6.2005) to put the small version of the triacontrahedron ( 8 cm diameter with the solution of two halves) into the hollow inside of a big triacontrahedron ( appr. 13 cm diameter in ballform with a solution of two halves + 2 extra key pieces), very nice appearance through the used 10 different sorts of hardwood
not sure if it exactly the same as Stewart Coffin's design, but the resulting shape is. Nicely made in many hardwoods.

l****j (10 )01/19/2008 21:09:34Was the puzzle made by Pelikan or Puzzlewood ? (e.g. Bernhard Schweitzer) I Googled the puzzle name and I only saw it on the Puzzlewood site. (Or does Puzzlewood sell Pelikan-made designs? I have not purchased anything from Puzzlewood so not sure how they work.)
Thanks !
John

D****h (159 )01/19/2008 22:32:21I purchased it from Puzzlewood... But I'm 99.9% sure it was made by Pelikan... I don't think Puzzlewood actually makes the puzzles, but contracts out...
