Two books from Martin Gardner filled with amusing and intriguing puzzles and paradoxes. Martin Gardner was the 25-year author of the Mathematical Games column in Scientific American. The used books are in very good condition. Copyright 1975 and 1978. Each book is more than 160 pages.

Puzzles Old and New by Professor Hoffmann + Hoffmann dexterity puzzle.OK not good at describing the condition of books and nor is the hamster. This is an original copy of of the must have book in every puzzlers collection.  It is in pretty good condition. A little foxing on the pages, the spine is intact and the binding tight  though the spine shows signs of wear/splitting - see pictures.Since I've been disposing of other dexterity puzzles I've also thrown in a an original Hoffman era dexterit...

Original 1895 edition of Puzzles Old & New with a green cover.I'm not brilliant at describing the condition of antique books but here goes.....Having seen a number of copies of this book this one is pretty decent. There is limited foxing to the the pages, which are still tightly bound, a couple of the pages have a weird "rough edge"  that is clearly part of the manufacturing process and is bareley noticeable.  There appear to be no obvious owners marks anywhere in the book, and the piece of ti...

Good condition.Binding is intact, all pages complete and undamaged.The photos here show the front and back,the inside of the front cover(where there is some writing in the upper right),the cover page (note that one often sees a blanktranslucent sheet of paper inserted before this pagewhich is not present here),and a sample page from the middle of the book.
