Original 1895 edition of Puzzles Old & New with a green cover.

I'm not brilliant at describing the condition of antique books but here goes.....

Having seen a number of copies of this book this one is pretty decent. There is limited foxing to the the pages, which are still tightly bound, a couple of the pages have a weird "rough edge" that is clearly part of the manufacturing process and is bareley noticeable. There appear to be no obvious owners marks anywhere in the book, and the piece of tissue paper that usually appears a few pages in is still present. The exterior of the book does show sinces of age, with some bumps, knocks and creases. I've tried to show the worst of these in the photo.

All in all a pretty reasonable version of one of the most significant historical books on Mechanical Puzzles and with a "bargain" start price to boot.
