Another classic by Oskar van Deventer, the Paperclips puzzle is rarely made, and for good reason. The length of the sticks and small surface area for overlap at the edges makes it very difficult to construct. Verticale was designed and made by Leontev Aleksandr. It is based on the NumLock pattern and requires 14,999 moves to disassemble. Moves are smooth and easy to manipulate. Designed and first released at IPP in 2009, Surround is closely related to the 3/4/5 cubes designs by Ichiro. In this case, six pieces must be used to surround the solid cube in such a way that is self-supporting. Two solutions using magnets are possible, with another "rule-breaker" solution that does not use magnets and covers the cube completely! Originally released in 2008 with very low quantities, the Improved Cam Box redesigns the concept with a much trickier solution.
