This is a miniature briefcase-style take-apart puzzle designed and manufactured by Kathleen Malcolmson and presented by Norman Sandfield in the most recent IPP. I know the picture shows IPP 31, but it was not presented then since Norman Sandfield was unable to attend IPP 31.

This is Scott Peterson's Clustered Anew. At first glance, this puzzle has the outward appearance of Stewart Coffin's familiar Cluster-Buster line of puzzles, but Scott has added a very cool twist. Woods used are Bird's Eye Maple and Kingwood. Overall, a nice addition to any collection. Puzzle has been played with only once and is in like new condition. Buyer to pay actual shipping charges.

The 4 Steps Visible Lock won the grand jury prize at the 31st IPP Puzzle Design Competition.To free the coin from the lock, you'll need to puzzle through four separate steps. Most of the lock mechanism is viewable throughout the entire solution process, but it nonetheless is a challenging (and clever) puzzle.

Stewart Coffin's Diagonal Cube puzzle, 3D printed in plastic by Shapeways. Six pieces, all different, assemble into an interlocking cube with side 32mm or about 1.25 inches. This puzzle is made from their material "polished white strong and flexible". I dyed by myself in three colors, giving it an different look from wood versions. The colors may also make the puzzle slightly easier.

This was my exchange puzzle at IPP31 in Berlin. The goal is to assemble the three pieces into a "symmetrical shape". This puzzle can be sent assembled or unassembled, your preference. Definitely more difficult unassembled, as you have to figure out what the final shape is.The second photo shows the actual puzzle for sale. The first one is the last one sold which is virtually identical.

Here is William Strijbos' description of this puzzle: I designed this puzzle around 1984 and it was my first puzzle box. At that time I produced only 6 of them (for Jerry Slocum – Nob. Yoshigahara – Dick Hess – Edward Hordern – James Dalgety). Now I have reproduced this design in an improved, metal version (previously it had been made of Formica or a similar material). The challenge is: Try to get the Rod out. No Tapping required – No Magnets – No External Tools.

To solve Snake Ball, the two donuts have to be pushed into each other. A spherical pin at one donut moves inside the grooves of the other and vice verse. All grooves are cut in a helical pattern around the donuts, so the two donuts always rotate simultaneously, which is very confusing. At some point, the puzzle feels almost solved, but the donuts cannot come apart. There, you have to make the parity-changing move and then you have to solve a second maze. Ribbons Puzzle is a 6 piece burr with an open frame, crafted nicely by Fuller in two different woods. In the picture, you are bidding for the lighter-colored disassembled one in the bag; the yellow one is merely to show you what it looks like when assembled (I'm keeping that one).
