This puzzle consists of 11 identically shaped pieces made from hardwood and metal rods. Essentially they are "F" pentominoes. The task is to fit them all in the tray which measures 8 units by 8 units.The wooden tray measures 7 1/4 inches to a side.

Diamond Burr was Juerg von Kaenels exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.The puzzle design consists of 3 identical pieces and 3 mirrored pieces, having diamond-shaped ends. Together they assemble into a burr of which I have no picture because I did not assemble it. This puzzle was stored disassembled and will be sent disassembled.One piece has a logo and #6.030 stamped in one end.Another piece has the IPP16 logo stamped in one end.

L-bow Dovetail was Norman Sandfields exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.This famous puzzle appears impossible to the untrained eye, since its two dovetail joints run in different directions.The puzzle is perfectly solvable though, when solved it reveils a small compartment with original elbow macaroni inside.The puzzle does NOT come apart completely, by design, to prevent small pieces from falling out.Only 200 copies were made, this copy is marked 59/200 on the inside. It comes in origin...

Engelberg Square Variation was Nick Baxters exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.Nick modified the original design by Stewart Coffin to add some torture.The solution is very tight, this was verified at 60% humidity so it may improve in a better environment.The puzzle can be shipped in the solved state if requested.

Surface was Jean Claude Constantins exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.25 cubes (2x2x2 cm) of 5 different woods, together with  8 aluminium bars (1x1x14 cm), make up a square surface.To complicate things a bit, 24 of the wooden cubes are attached to the aluminium bars. 1 cube is loose.Take apart the square, mix up the parts, and reassemble the square.This puzzle is still in its original shrink wrap.

Drumsticks was Allen Rolfs exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.Beat the hidden mechanism to separate the two sticks. This puzzle takes 2 'moves' to open. It is made from very nice and shiny hardwood, although I don't know which wood type it is.It has multiple cavities on the inside, these are part of he mechanism and shall not be used to store any items (i.e. it is not a puzzle box). 

Octo-Burr was Tyler Barretts exchange puzzle at IPP 17 in San Francisco, 1997.This puzzle was designed and made by Stewart Coffin (#110 in his numbering system).The apparently 8 sticks come apart in 5 pieces, i.e. some sticks are glued together.The first piece that comes out has "110 STC 1997"inscribedA soft and light wood type is used,

This is a gorgeous wooden puzzle box with 3 internal compartments.The compartments are 35 mm diameter and 8 mm high, and lined with green soft fabric (not carpet;-).The box opens in one coordinated motion move, very smoothly.This is a stunning display piece and symple puzzle, also very suitable for an NPSO.
