Variation on a theme was Simon Dickersons exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.You will immediately recognise the tangram shapes, but...... on closer inspection several pieces are different, having some corners cut off.And that parallellogram is a misfit, it is too large! What is going on here?Don't panic, just pack the 7 pieces in the square tray.This is a great puzzle to hand someone after they solve the tangram square. 

Japanese Wood Joint Burr was Frans de Vreugd's  exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.A.k.a. Where's My Hammer is a difficult sequential discovery puzzle. Beautifully made. I rate this puzzle LVL 10 for difficulty. Designed and first released at IPP in 2009, Surround is closely related to the 3/4/5 cubes designs by Ichiro. In this case, six pieces must be used to surround the solid cube in such a way that is self-supporting.
