This is a fantastic puzzle design. I wish I had made more copies of it! With a staggering 10,800 solutions and only 4 constructable, it is decievingly difficult to solve...it's easy to get all but one piece together, but that last piece is the trick! It is a very fun puzzle to solve and displays very nicely because of the interesting joinery on the edges. Impossible Triangle of Six Cubes is a little more impossible than the Three Cubes version, but still quite doable even for the beginner. Bill's Ball bearing burr is one of my all-time favorite interlocking puzzles. The normal six-piece assembly is further complicated by the addition of two stainless ball bearings which must be placed in the correct location before assembly. The bearings are then released once the puzzle is assembled, and the solver must figure out how to maneuver them in order to disassemble the puzzle. I've been on a bit of a complex burr tear lately. It started with the Fusion series and went from there. I was able to aquire a large amount of choice Walnut, maple and cherry, and so I've been able to keep the woods consistant and make almost a kind of set of interesting and non-conventional burrs. Aquarius is a seemingly simple puzzle with a real surprise. Two burr pieces and a small slider interact with the ribbed cage to create an unexpectedly high level 17.9.3 solution. I really liked Tom's Cubic Burr 6.9 design, and when I messaged him he said he thought he could do even better. So he went back to the drawing board and came up with an iteration that has a level 5.8.8 solution. Eight moves to get the *third* piece out...this one's tough but doable! Stephane has been coming out with a lot of new designs lately, and it was tough to pick which I liked the best. I found the geometry of the cage and internal pieces very pleasing, and the fact that Triaxe is a difficult level 24 solution didn't hurt.
