The cog moves up and down the track but due to varying lengths of teeth and varying sizes of holes, the movement is sometimes restricted. The cog is also capable of being rotatated 180 degrees and thus allowing further moves to occur.

Yin Yang is a restricted opening packing puzzle. Six pieces form a 4x4x3 cuboid, which is not straight forward at all even outside of the box.
