the goal is to find the hidden compartment containing a small piece of Australiana, in the form of an opal from the Lightning Ridge opal fields.
as s side note, the very first step of this puzzle baffled me for three weeks.
three weeks.
because of one simple mechanical detail that i had never seen before and wasn't expecting.
i'm not upset.
i'm not.
i'm really not.
but once i figured it out, i loved the solution. it's a brilliant puzzle.
