This is the original! This puzzle had been copied as a very popular reproduction by the great (and sorely missed) Eric Fuller. Eric describes it as follows: "Dovetail Burr remains an utterly unique interlocking board burr concept despite its age. The presence of matched dovetail joints forces each pair of pieces on a given axis to interact with the other. This innovation creates a distinct challenge with unfamiliar restrictions that will make you sit and think!" This original by prolific puzzle designer and puzzle exchange participant Frans deVreugd was his exchange puzzle at IPP20 held in Los Angeles in 2000. The puzzle pieces consist of two beautifully contrasting woods, maple and mahogany.

I have never opened my copy of Dovetail Burr in the 23 years since I received it! Thus, my photos show it in its original plastic bag, complete with instructions. I will include a copy of the solution from the IPP20 exchange booklet.

I will ship within the US via insured flat rate priority mail for $10.20. (The package will be too heavy to ship at first class rates.) I am happy to ship internationally at cost, but I cannot always guarantee that overseas packages can be insured or tracked.
