Description

The puzzle is a set similar to the Penultimate Burr with multiple problems to be solved. The set consists of a 4×4×4 cage with a 2×2 opening on each face and 14 non-planar penta/tetracubes. The objective is to fill the cage with four of the pentacubes and three tetracubes to complete a 4×4 cube.

This copy was crafted using Padauk pieces, which is different from the production versions. This copy does not feature the storage box or the assembly jig as in the full Caged Polycubes puzzle. This is a single solution of the possible assemblies featured in the puzzle.

These puzzles are extras and oddballs that have accumulated in the shop. Sometimes when we make a run of puzzles we will have a few with different woods, etc. which are too much trouble to list individually on the website. These puzzles are all in new condition and fully functional.

Our work is handcrafted to very precise tolerances and must be kept within the range of 40-60% relative humidity at all times. Failure to do so may cause inoperability or permanent damage.

When you say "This is a single solution of the possible assemblies featured in the puzzle." does that mean that all 14 tetracubes are not included, but only 4?

Thanks for asking! Yes that is correct, only the frame and seven pieces as in the last picture are included to make this one possible assembly.
