Mongolian Zandraa Tumen-Ulzii burst into the international puzzle scene in the early 2000's. His puzzle museum in Ulaan Baatar was recently commemorated by the Mongolian government with a set of postage stamps! His puzzles possess a unique flavor not seen in typical western or eastern puzzles. Mongolian Solir was Zandraa's son Itgel's exchange puzzle at IPP23, the 23rd International Puzzle Party held in Chicago in 2003. The puzzle is as received at IPP23 --- I've never taken it apart. I don't believe that the puzzle came with any packaging. The fourth photo of the individual pieces is taken from the IPP23 exchange booklet. The only paperwork included with the puzzle is the solution, which I have not, therefore, included in the listing (but it is part of the lot). |
