Piston Box puzzle designed by Marcel Gillen (invented by Tadao Muroi)
The Piston Box puzzle is also known as Internal Combustion or Pandora's Box. This is a hefty metal puzzle for its size, and is composed of 4 burr pieces and a frame. From previous listings, "it was invented by Tadao Muroi and designed by Marcel Gillen." Assemblies that require different numbers of steps are possible. A review describing this can be found here: http://smallpuzzlecollection.blogspot.com/2011/07/internal-combustion.html
The puzzle was made in the late 90s and I believe it is no longer made. The pieces and frame have a nice weight and the action is smooth. There are no major blemishes or scratches. I've provided close-up photos to show some light scratches on the frame. I believe this piece can be easily polished. The puzzle will be shipped with the simplest assembly unless you request otherwise. Comes with original box.

Buyer is responsible for shipping which should be $6-7 (US, first-class). Priority mail (and heavier metal puzzles) might be $1 to $3 more. I charge only exact shipping costs. Please contact me if you need an estimate for international shipping. If you wish to estimate shipping costs yourself, I don't think anything that I've listed will weigh more than 16 ounces (450 grams), and the wood puzzles should be much less than that. I will combine multiple items for cheaper shipping; I have a few metal puzzles, and a few packing puzzles from Osanori Yamamoto and Frederic Boucher listed this time.
I can accept payments via Paypal, Zelle, or Transferwise. There will be no additional packaging or handling fees.
I try to grade condition conservatively. If the puzzle shows any sign of wear from use, it'll be a B or lower. If the puzzle looks like it did when I received it new (barring any defects), it will be graded A.
