This puzzle is a variation of the Diagonal Burr, however you wouldn't think so from looking at it. Like many of Coffin's designs, the six pieces of this puzzle represent a complete set of non-symmetrical permutations, and will assemble in only one way. Disassembly is possible on only one of the four-fold axes. This design is isomorphically the same as many of Coffin's other puzzles such as Augmented Four Corners and Triangular Prism, however the average person will probably have an easier time solving this one because the cubic appearance gives the puzzler a familiar concept to work towards, thus there will be less fumbling around with the pieces when trying to figure out how they fit together.
