"Variation On a Theme" was Simon Dickerson's exchange puzzle at IPP19 held in London in 1999. It is a variation on the classic Tangram puzzle by the famous and incredibly prolific Stewart Coffin, Stewart's puzzle design #136. It looks like a Tangram, except that
- Some of the corners of the large triangles are cut off;
- The parallelogram piece is a bit elongated;
- The pieces don't all fit into the tray the way that regular Tangram pieces should!
The goal, of course, is to figure out HOW to fit all of the pieces into the tray.
"Variation On a Theme" comes as received at IPP19 with its original instruction sheet in its original plastic bag. I will be happy to supply a copy of the solution to "Variation On a Theme" from the IPP19 booklet, to the winning bidder.
I can ship within the US as a ground advantage (first class) package for between $8.00 and $9.00 (depending on postal code), or at insured
priority mail pricing for between $11.00 and $16.00 (depending on postal
code) if preferred. I am happy to ship
internationally at cost (typically around $30, depending on
country), but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured. Please do not send payment until the postage cost
is determined. Note, sadly, that tariff wars may be in effect for packages received in certain countries.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding my copy of "Variation On a Theme."
Thank you for viewing my auction!
