Sakura Mochi (Japanese Cake) puzzle box designed by Akio Kamei (Karakuri)
Beautiful puzzle box described on the Karakuri website: "This work was made for the exhibition with the theme Spring. The leaf of the cherry tree is wood inlay made by Haruo Uchiyama."
I thought something was wrong with the box since I couldn't open it for the longest time. Turns out, I misremembered the solution. Box functions beautifully, very smooth, once you know the solution.

I try to grade condition conservatively. If the puzzle shows any sign of wear from use, it'll be a B or lower. If the puzzle looks like it did when I received it new (barring any defects), it will be graded A. All puzzles are kept in a smoke-free home maintained at 45-55% humidity.
