This puzzle is a exchange puzzle by Steve Kemp for the International Puzzle Party 28 held in Prague, Czech Republic 2008
Description:
The Colour Cube consist of 24 magnetic tiles & base cube.
Each tile has a black square & 3 colours from blue, green, red & yellow.
All 24 permutations of 3 from 4 colours are included in the colouring of these tiles.
Goal:
Puzzle No. 1*
Place the 24 magnetic tiles on the base cube so that adjacent colours MATCH.
Colours must match across the 4 central squares of each edge.
Colours must match in the 4 central squares of each face.
Colours must match for the 3 squares at each vertex.
*Try finding the only solution where each face has 4 black, 3 blue, 3 green, 3 red & 3 yellow squares.
Puzzle No. 2
Place the 24 magnetic tiles on the base cube so that adjacent colour DO NOT MATCH edgewise. It does not matter if colours match ‘diagonally’.
Packaging: Cardboard box.
