This work was created for an exhibition with the theme, ‘’ancient’’.
Egyptian locks, invented in ancient Egypt, are said to be the oldest locks in the world.
Although simple, the lock itself plays the role of a key.
Its structure is still used today in modern keys.
This work is a karakuri box that uses the ancient "Egyptian lock" mechanism.
When the box opens, you can see the mechanism.
