Description
Straight Forward is touted as "the simplest maze in the world, or is it?" It was designed by and crafted by Mr. Puzzle (Brian Young) of Australia, and was used by perennial IPP exchange participant Patrick Major at IPP27 in Australia. It was classified as a "trick opening" puzzle in the IPP27 exchange book. The goal of the puzzle is "simply" to move the ball bearing from one end of the channel to the other.
The puzzle is as it was received at IPP27 in 2007 in Gold Coast, Australia, complete with its original label on its original plastic bag. I will provide a
copy of the solution to Straight Forward from the IPP27 exchange booklet.
Note that straight forward was originally sold on the Mr. Puzzle web site (2007) for 50 Australian dollars, but has long since been discontinued. A copy sold two years ago (March 2020) in a Cubic Dissection auction for an amazing $365, and another copy sold in a January 2019 Haubrich auction for (an again amazing) 305 euros. My opening bid is about half of these prices.
I will ship within the US at insured priority flat rate pricing for $9.45, and I will cover additional insurance. I am happy to ship
internationally at cost, but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked.
