Alchemist Cubes is a highly themed 4x4x4 Cube Set. It has 18 unique pieces that can be used to make over 4,900 cubes. 54 problems have been hand selected and turned in Alchemy Formulas you must solve to find the right pieces. It includes a 1500 word narrative and list of 54 themed spells to solve. It is difficult! But I have included 15 additional easy problems in the PDF. The PDF is bound and it comes with leather pouch, scroll, and quick reference cards. This set is my personal copy, the #00 (Infinity) Maker's Edition.
It's a one-of-a-kind set that took me over 90 hours of watching my printer, layer by layer.
It is double density, and uses 11 types of filament.
It is my swan song for this puzzle and I will never make another one like it.
You will also probably never see this many exotic filaments in a 3D puzzle for a long time.
Each set of pieces is even more themed than the original product.
The Void (Space) piece is themed on "The Dark Side of the Moon" album
cover with rainbow bands, smoky and clear parts to represent the prism and has 17 layers in 39mm of space alone.
Fire is like fire, water is like an ocean wave, air is all varied in patterns and are lighter.
The Earth pieces have marble in the walnut to represent the plants and minerals of Earth, the bands in them represent their numbers. And finally the Philosopher's Stone piece uses a filament called "Wizard's Sleeve" and cannot be found anymore, I bought the last of it.
It is as bespoke a 3D puzzle as I could make it.
