Description
Another great apparent cube from Magyarics - this time with 2 challenges so you get twice the fun. Not the hardest design from Alex, but the opposite double openings makes it really interesting. I opted for the surprise me option and received beautiful Mora and Ebarria pieces along with a very classy Acacia box. I will include the wood descriptions in the original box.
While photographing this puzzle noticed a small area of the box where the join doesn't quite meet - I never noticed this while solving! I have included a picture to highlight this.
From the Wood Wonders website:
Another of Alex's packing puzzles is Opposite! Here, I am including two sets of pieces for the two versions of the puzzle. The primary objective is to fill all the openings with both versions. Opposite 1 has two possible solutions to get the pieces into the box but only 1 of them will fill the openings with moves of 9.4.5. Opposite 2 has a total of 5 solutions for getting the pieces in the box but again, only one that fills all the openings with moves of 9.3.6. Each set of three pieces is of a different wood. Woods for pieces are Mora and Madrone.
The SURPRISE ME! version uses a variety of woods for the Boxes and pieces. There are just too many different ones for me to photograph. By choosing this I am saving the time of all the different pictures and listings with maybe only one or two of each. So I have grouped them all into a pot luck category with a little savings for you. I will include a note in the box of the woods you have received.
