The 3K was Liang Jen Wu's exchange puzzle at IPP 19 in London, 1999.

This is a three-piece burr requiring one single coordinate motion to assemble.

Not sure about that, they do look similar indeed. I will need to grab the puzzle and have a closer look.
I would be surprised if they are equal though, I would expect that to have been detected earlier then. I’ll get back to you about this.

Hi again,
I compared both puzzles, and to my surprise the design is indeed equal. Only the size is slightly different.
