Description
Original Pent up puzzle designed and made by Eric Harschbarger.
One of his most recent puzzles, he produced only a very limited quantity.
Eric has made a design
where 12 pentominoes cover the six sides of a cube. What remarkable is that the
pentominoes all have a surface of 5 units. If the cube sides were made of the
same unit size x 9 you’ll end up with 60 units covering 54 units! Eric has
found a way to cover this problem by slightly altering the dimension of the
cube. Eric’s first attempts dates back to 2005 and only recently he
re-addressed this and finally came up with a, what he calls, nice solution. In
this solution there are no pentominoes that go around the corner and touch
itself.
Note: the puzzle only holds together if placed in the box
