Description
This Stickman No. 20 Puzzlebox is handcrafted from purpleheart, with intricate diamond shaped maple inlays. Its rocky cliff base is carved out from walnut, leopardwood and paduk.
The unique aspect of this puzzle is that the decorative bricks on the corners of lighthouse tower also serve as screw-threads. As it rotates, this external disk will move up and down the tower shaft upon these threads. At certain positions, this thread action changes in mechanical output and will also cause secret panels to slide open automatically. This is a cool aspect that you just can’t appreciate fully until you see it happen in your hands. This puzzle requires a minimum of 14 steps in order to access its two secret compartments.
This particular puzzle is bit looser than most from this design, and there is one location where the external disk has become chipped (see picture). This "chip" might be fixed prior to the start of this auction, and if so I will post pictures of the repair. Currently, if functions properly (though a bit loose) but is still flawed due to the chip.
This puzzle was limited to only 28 finished pieces, and this particular puzzle is # 11 out if this limited edition set. The puzzle measures 11" x 5"x 4" and comes with its original 14-page, color illusrtated instruction book. This puzzle is not well suited for children in that it can be easy to cross and strip threads without proper attention.

JUST NOTOICED THAT THIS PUZZLE SEEMS TO BE A BIT UNDERBID IN COMPARISON TO OTHER PUZZLES AT AUCTION, AND THOUGHT THERE MIGHT BE SOME CONFUSION IN THE DESCRIPTION. YES, IT A BIT LOOSE (WHICH IS BETTER THAN TOO TIGHT) AND IT DOES HAVE A SMALL CHIP THAT I AM WILLING TO REPAIR, BUT IT IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER IN ALL REGARDS.
