This puzzle explores polyominoes on a pentagon/hexagon grid. There are nine ways three right pentagons can be properly put together. A right pentagon has all sides equal save one and two 90 degree angles. This puzzle has all nine pieces plus all the ways a hexagon can be added.
It is made of florescent acrylic and black acrylic.
The puzzle's predecessor was designed my me and called "Snowflake". I later found out that a much more famous puzzle, by Stuart Coffin, was named "Snowflake". Many people made suggestions as to its improvement. TriPenta Hexagon is a collaboration of Ed Pegg Jr., Nob Yoshidahara, Adrian Fisher, and Bill Cutler who found 142 solutions.
