Description
Unusual glass dexterity puzzle. It looks like an ashtray with a raised lip. There is a raised platform in the middle, with a center ring with one opening into it. Four channels, marked 1-4 respectively, are on a steep rise from the bottom edges to the raised center. There are four metal or composition balls. The object is "to run one ball up each channel and into the receptacle in consecutive order." If you allow one ball to "run out of the receptacle before the puzzle is accomplished," you have to start over.
Because there is such a steep rise from the bottom to the top, it is very hard trying to keep 1, 2, and then 3 balls in the center ring while you are attempting to bring another ball up the next channel, making for a very difficult dexterity puzzle.
Size = approx. 3.5" diameter, 3/4" high
The title, "Radio Puzzle" (there is a "567" written before the title) and the first line on the box, "No wires to 'pull'," suggest this puzzle was made during the early days of radio, the 1920s.
