Original edition of Stewart Coffin's Locked Nest, STC #22 aka Monster, made by Coffin himself, from the estate of Dr. Benjamin Muckenhoupt.
Sold with original documentation which indicates that this is one of the versions with five elbow pieces. (Coffin gives instructions on how to convert this puzzle into a six-elbow-piece version on the included puzzle sheet.)
This puzzle is likely one of the 50 Coffin made ca. 1977-1981.
