Description
First there was Slideways, Ray Stanton's iconic coordinated motion burr puzzle. Then there was Double Slideways, taking Slideways to the next level. AND THEN Ray designed the "Slideways Cube," taking the Slideways coordinated motion concept to the iconic cube form. Ray used "Slideways Cube" as his exchange puzzles at IPP35 held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 2015. "Slideways Cube" is beautifully crafted in cherry and dark oak by the prolific and popular folks at Pelikan Puzzles (Czech Republic).
I have played with my copy of "Slideways Cube" very little. I could not solve the puzzle --- and frankly, I did not find the solution provided in the IPP35 booklet to be that useful --- but found Ray's video of the solution on the Pelikan web site to finally allow me to disassemble the puzzle. My copy of the puzzle is VERY tight, and for that reason, I listed "Functionality" as "Problematic." I would think that this could change in a humidity controlled environment.
I am offering my copy of "Slideways Cube" as Ray presented it at IPP35, in a simple plastic bag, with a small identifying paper. And again the solution (disassembly) of the puzzle is captured better on the above-referenced video than in the IPP35 booklet.
I will ship within the US as a ground advantage (new terminology
replacing "first class") package for around $6.65, or if preferred, at
insured priority mail pricing
(likely from between
$10.20 and $12.55, depending on postal code). I am happy
to ship
internationally at cost --- likely around $17.10 or $26.95 depending on final weight of the package --- but I cannot always guarantee that overseas
packages can be insured or tracked.
