Description

Where do I begin with the crazy journey that this puzzle has taken to be produced?

First came its incomparable predecessor, the wooden Slammed Car which received numerous reviews and acclaims of being a brilliantly designed puzzle with far too few copies around for the hungry puzzling community to all experience. While Juno is an amazing puzzle designer and craftsman, he suffers from the mortal flaw of being unable to produce enough puzzles to meet the demand.

Into the picture comes Gerald, aka Turtle3D on the MPD discord, who applied his remarkable skill at reverse-engineering complex puzzle designs, and transformed it into a 3d printed version which could be more easily mass-produced. With Juno's blessings of course!

This puzzle is a marvelous SD and all of the steps involved are very good at staying in the theme of fixing a car. I had the pleasure of once trying out the original wooden Slammed Car, and mainly bought the 3d printed version to satisfy my curiosity of how they compared to each other. Succinctly put, they are both wonderful tactile experiences. The wooden version feels very nice to hold, but the plastic version has more satisfying movements, and Gerald has done an incredible job of perfectly replicating the exact same movements needed to solve the puzzle.

The only difference is that they both have a prize at the end to be discovered, but the prize in the printed version isn't the same prize as in the wooden version. I won't say what the prizes are to avoid spoilers.
