Description

Oskar's Matchboxes has always been one of my favorite designs. In terms of originality, appearance and overall appeal, very few puzzles come close. The five dissimilar pieces consist of an outer box and inner tray cleverly glued together. The goal is to assemble the pieces so that every tray is contained inside a box. With only two solutions, this is quite tricky!

Oskar’s Matchboxes is a very time-consuming puzzle to make, with all pieces constructed using the same shoulder joinery that we used to make the Tube It In puzzle. The end result is a puzzle that looks small and fragile but is really quite strong.⠀

This puzzle is shipped disassembled.

These puzzles are listed as part of the Reserve Puzzle Program: for each newly released puzzle on Cubicdissection, four copies are reserved. After that puzzle is sold out, they are listed one at a time in the next four Marketplace events with a one penny opening bid and no reserve. This is done to discourage profiteering and flipping by making more than one copy available as a competing identical listing.

Hello!

Certainly, the woods used are purpleheart, zebrawood, granadillo, ash, and walnut and all of the inside drawers are made from maple.

We can absolutely combine auction items with orders from our website! We must charge shipping cost for each item, but when we combine multiple orders we will refund any excess postage paid after the items are shipped.

My apologies, The correct balance due is $162.00. Our system defaults to domestic shipping costs for each winning bid, but international shipping is more expensive.

Hi Ivan,

Sorry for not clarifying. The Marketplace and our cubicdissection.com store are two different websites, each with different billing systems. All payments for Marketplace items are handled outside of the site, most often through PayPal.

If it is more convenient for you, you can place an order for the Four Cubes puzzle on our website and select the 'Payment by Invoice' option and I can combine it with your Marketplace balance into one PayPal invoice.

We must charge shipping cost for each order placed, since the added weight will increase the postage, but once your parcel is sent we will refund any excess shipping costs back to you.

Payment confirmed. Not a problem at all, the shipping confirmation email will still show the Canarywood version, but I made sure to switch it for a Leopardwood copy.
