Description

The Exolution IV Puzzle is a sliding, interlocking wooden puzzle with a marble inside.

This puzzle also includes a new feature: a steel ball bearing. This feature was suggested by someone who purchased one of the older Exolution puzzles, and thank you for the suggestion. Without giving away the purpose of the bearing, as it's part of the puzzle, let me just say: "NO EXCESSIVE FORCE IS REQUIRED TO OPEN THIS PUZZLE!" If a piece won't move fully or at all, then you need to try something else.

This puzzle also has 7 wooden pieces, more than any of the previous Exolution puzzles, making it a real challenge to reassemble.

The 1st objective the Exolution puzzles is to remove the marble from the puzzle. There are 6 moves required in order to free the marble. The 2nd objective is to disassemble the rest of the puzzle. There are 7 wooden pieces. The final objective is to reassemble the puzzle with the marble and ball bearing inside.

Exolution means: to set free, and I chose the name purposefully, because of the marble inside, and because the exterior windmill pattern of the wood resembles Stewart Coffin's Convolution puzzle series.

The puzzle is made out of several different woods: Birch, Tiger wood, Sapelle, Purpleheart, and Padauk. No stains are used, the colors are all natural. The puzzle is lacquered and waxed.
