I love unusual burr puzzles, and the shape of Cobalt immediately grabbed me. I hadn't seen one that looked anything like it before. After checking out the design and solution, I was doubly impressed. The tricky level 12.8 solution is made even more difficult by the unfamiliar interactions between pieces bent at 90 degrees. I decided to make it from two contrasting woods, mostly for the looks but also to give a bit of a hint to the solver.
Construction of this puzzle is outstanding! Fit is very precise and the contrasting splines are more than just decoration...they help insure the longevity of the mitered joint.
Note: Scratches are present and noticeable, see photos for detail.

These puzzles are extras and oddballs that have accumulated in the shop. Sometimes when we make a run of puzzles we will have a few with different woods, etc. which are too much trouble to list individually on the website. These puzzles are all in new condition and fully functional.
