Description
This is level 17 board burr, 6 pieces of two different types.Foolishly, I made this out of large sticks (.73") and it ended up weighing about 2 pounds, so it will be quite expensive to ship overseas.
Currently there is only one of these in existence; I made a variation on this (instead of 51 moves to take apart, the other one takes 68 moves to disassemble) in which all the pieces are different, but submitted it to a puzzle company.
Not sure what the woods are (3 types), I bought trim at a store and squared it up, but nothing was labeled. The fit is pretty tight, with somewhat imperfect lap-joints at the corners, which you can see in the photo. The wood is not finished; a good laquer might make them slide more easily.
The BurrTools file is available to the winner, of course.
