Description
The Akiyama Packing Box is an extremely colorful wooden puzzle crafted by the famous Vinco workshop. It was was used by perennial Puzzle Exchange participant Pat Major as his exchange puzzle at IPP38, held in San Diego California in 2018. The object of the puzzle is to form a cube from the eight pieces which will then fit in the accompanying wooden box. Each piece is a cube with a triangular section removed from the interior and appended to the exterior, with the orientation of the triangle on the cube done in eight different ways (as seen on the cover of the box). The beauty of the puzzle is enhanced by several different contrasting woods used to make the eight pieces. The solution is included with the puzzle.
