This second release of Lift Box incorporates a couple of design improvements over the last version. The objective is to open the box completely and reveal the inside. Woods used are walnut, padauk, maple, and a variety of different trim. (Each box will have random different trim around the edges). Simple and elegant puzzle box.

Karakuri Xmas gift 2012. Opens in 7 Steps and is stamped with Akio Kamei's Hanko. The mechanism is true the name of the series, meaning that this box "expands" during the solving process. But the movements are different. One cute feature is the little peepholes on each walnut piece that gives you a view inside of something metallic. Walnut.
