Pocket Pento by Jerry Loo
I like *some* packing puzzles, and this one made the cut. It's a set of pentominos and a simple box, yet there is only ONE solution to packing them all in. A truly extraordinary achievement! I interpreted this one with a lot of panache, using 12 different woods for the pieces (Canary, Bubinga, Yellowheart, Peruvian Walnut, Paduak, Wenge, Shedue, Mahogany, Ipe, Bocote, Cherry, Ash). The tolerances are very precise, and this puzzle may be a bit tight at first in highly humid situations. Over time ...

Pack 3 by Osanori Yamamoto
Pack 3 is a wonderful little gem of a packing puzzle by Mr. Yamamoto. The three pieces fit inside a 3x3x2 box with a very unusual opening. There are two solutions, one trivial and the other tricky. The trivial solution puts the pieces in the box, while the tricky and intended solution is to put the pieces in as an apparent 3x3x2 with no holes showing from the opening. A wonderful concept, and it was nice to make another of his designs after so long.Construction of this puzzle is very very good...

Five Duo Cubes by Brendan Perez
Brendan Perez is a talented new designer and i'm excited to be making his work available. Five Duo Cubes is a packing puzzle wherein five cubes at various offset positions must pack into a simple rectangular box. There are six different ways to join two 3x3x3 cubes together, including one rectangular block. Eliminating the single rectangular block, the remaining five can pack into a 9x7x6 box three different ways. The solution is made unique by adding protrusions to the frame of the box. Elegant...

4L by Yasuhiro Hashimoto 2018 edition
4L is one of my favorite puzzles ever and I"m glad to finally have permission to make them available on Cubicdissection. It was awarded an Honorable Mention at IPP 2015 and is FAR trickier than it looks. The goal is to pack the four L shaped pieces into a very simple box. There are two different types of L piece (fat and thin) and several ways they could fit. The final solution is so creative and tricky I don't want to say more for fear of giving hints.Construction of this puzzle is very nice in...

Soma In Case by Hajime Katsumoto
Soma in Case is another offering from design genius Hajime Katsumoto. The seven soma pieces must be packed into a 5x3x2 space. Not too tough, except that the lid also has a cube secured to it and so the pieces must maneuver around the obstruction. Over 100,000 solutions, only one is assemblable with a combined 14 moves necessary. This is a difficult, elegant design.Construction of this puzzle is outstanding, with sturdy box joinery and fully beveled cube pieces. This puzzle is shipped assembled...

Quattro Cube by Peter Gal
Peter sent me this remarkable design and I immediately knew I wanted to realize it. The five piece cube has some remarkable qualities. Each piece is different and none share symmetries. They contain 26 units in total, so a 3x3x3 can be made with one unit missing. The missing unit is solvable for each position, and each solution is unique. If that weren't enough, there is a box to pack them in which can only be serially assembled with the missing cube in one orientation. A very tricky and worthwh...

Harun by Dr. Volker Latussek
Another brilliant packing puzzle by the designer of the award winning "Casino" puzzle, Harun is a tricky assembly. Six notched sticks and six small planks pack into the box two different ways. The solution is trickier than is apparent given the simple pieces.Construction of this puzzle is excellent, with a precise fit which displaces a cushion of air when the entire assembly is dropped in at once. This puzzle is shipped disassembled. For multiple items, combined shipping is available. 3 in 1 (Tom Lensch / Goh Pit Khiam)
This is really 3 puzzles in 1, designed by Goh Pit Khiam and made in an absolutely beautiful variety of woods by Tom Lensch. The tray is made out of three contrasting woods and is stamped with Tom's logo on the bottom. The puzzles consist of three sets of five identical pieces. The tray has a circumferential lip, allowing a portion of individual pieces to slide under it. The goal is to fit all five of each wood style. This is a VERY difficult set of puzzles - I have not been able to solve all...

Stumbling Blocks
This is one of Eric's Artisan Series copies of Stumbling Blocks. This packing puzzle has one of the most satisfying series of moves I've ever seen in a puzzle; there's a reason it's consistently mentioned as one of the best packing puzzles. I am the second owner of this copy. The tolerances on these are a bit on the loose side, but not so much that it affects the solution. There is a light scratch in the middle of the beveled edge along one side, shown in the 3rd listing picture.Shipping & Fees:Â...

As we will find out, this was a subtle and well thought out puzzle used
in a marketing effort to spread the name of Calibron. It was presented
