Brendan Perez is a talented new designer and i'm excited to be making his work available. Five Duo Cubes is a packing puzzle wherein five cubes at various offset positions must pack into a simple rectangular box. There are six different ways to join two 3x3x3 cubes together, including one rectangular block. Eliminating the single rectangular block, the remaining five can pack into a 9x7x6 box three different ways. The solution is made unique by adding protrusions to the frame of the box. Elegant in its simplicity, this puzzle is also quite tricky with a level 4.4.5.3 solution. This puzzle is shipped assembled.
