Magna is a puzzle and freeform building toy.  It is composed of shapes called rhombic hexahedrons, which look like slanted cubes.  There are 8 single shape pieces (walnut) and 12 double shape pieces (maple).  48 magnets help to hold the pieces together. In addition to its original shape, the instructions suggest several other challenging shapes.
