Hat Trick
Nice packing puzzle by Laszlo Molnar described by Brian on his Wood Wonders site:-This was one of two of Laszlo's entries into the IPP Design Competition and a TOP TEN Vote Getter. You know when Laszlo makes designs a packing puzzle that it will be a good one! I think this one has a difficult to find Aha! moment, making it even more satisfying. This puzzle has some rather close tolerances so it may not be for high humidity conditions.

Six Slabs by Brendan Perez (RPP)
Six Slabs is a unique packing puzzle reminiscent of the Hexahedroom design. Six uniform "slabs" must be packed into the box, which has three openings in a non-symmetrical pattern. This is complicated by two fixed blocks inside the box. With a level 1.1.9.3.2.3 solution, Six Slabs is non-trivial to solve.Crafted from Curly Maple (box) and Wenge (pieces). Great care was taken during construction, with Wenge accents on the box corners and extremely precise dimensions. Extra attention was spent on t...

Tube It In by Wil Strijbos 2020 Edition (RPP)
Tube It In is a classic design by Wil Strijbos. To solve it you have to take the various small rectangular pieces and pack them all inside each other. Wil originally made it with small cut sections of metal pipe! What an original and fun idea, still unique to this day. The puzzle itself is moderately tricky and fun to solve.Construction of this puzzle is painstaking. Each piece is strengthened with shouldered joinery on the edges and then beveled on all faced. This was very tricky indeed with su...

Fano Blocks by Brendan Perez (RPP)
The goal of Fano Blocks is to pack seven pairs of identical rectangular pieces flush into the box. These aren't just any pieces, however! They possess unique properties: any two distinct blocks share precisely one edge length in common and any set of two specific edge lengths are held by two identical blocks. The resulting number of edge-matching combinations creates a complicated problem. Finding even one of the eight possible solutions is an accomplishment.Named after the Fano plane (the small...
