This is the original prototype made by the late Joseph Pelican and signed by Dic Sonneveld. I have never tried to take it apart, so it is perfect condition. I have enjoyed owning this puzzle and now feel it deserves to be in someone elses collection. I have the computer program also that shows the step-by-step solution

Only 2 pieces, or 1 piece in a cage. Two-Piece Oddity was the original name, renamed by Philos as the Cross Cage. This is the Philos version in the original package with instructions. Not a terribly difficult puzzle, satisfying to solve, interesting to see, and one that can be handed to beginners without fear that they will take vengeance on you at a later date. Wooden cube, jigsaw-cut, 27 pieces, 4 inches wide, from Keith Winegar Puzzle Works, 1994. Little sheet comes with it, but doesn't give you any instructions (not like you need them; it's a 3D jigsaw, after all). Not sure what wood this is, somewhat redish in color, not super-dense. Looks nice. Easy beginner puzzle for your non-puzzleist friends.
